I see you have read The Secret Diaries by Janice Harrell… I was just wondering what you think about the similarity between the school cafateria scenes in The Secret Diaries and Twilight??? When I read the start of Twilight (ie. when Bella first sees Edward) I could have sworn it was just like when Joanna first sees Penn… what do you think??

ooh…I never thought about that! It’s been a long time since I read the Secret Diaries. Yeah, you’re right! Both Bella and Joanna are drawn to the guys right away, and learn about their new schoolmates in the same way, from the biggest gossips in the school. There are plenty of similarities between Penn/Joanna and Bella/Edward in my opinion. They both have secrets to protect, and a “family” that is concidered to be close and difficult to enter. Penn himself does remind me of Edward, now that I think about it. He would do anything to protect those that he loves, is popular yet unaproachable, smart, not to mention addicted to fast driving.
I canæt believe I didn’t notice all of this until now!
